These recipes contain minimal amounts of sugar. They use low glycemic index carbohydrates which starve cancer cells and prevent sugar spikes after after meals in diabetics. They exceed the nutritional standards required by AAFCO and the NRC for your dog's daily nutrition.
This meal plan has limited or contains no fiber. To support maximum intestinal health the plan includes psyllium fiber supplementation.
Although these meal plans are low in sugar, they are not a substitute for medical monitoring or intervention. Your dog's blood should be checked every 6-12 months. Your veterinarian can advise you based on any changes in the lab work if necessary.
